NEW CLAIM JUMPER RESTAURANT DONATES CAKE SALES TO
CONEJO VALLEY NEIGHBORHOOD FOR LEARNING

Standing nearly a foot tall, Claim Jumper’s Chocolate Motherlode Cake is a “signature” menu item, annually enjoyed by thousands of hungry guests. Every year the company sells nearly a quarter of a million slices of cake, with six-layers of rich, decadent chocolate, and whole cakes are regularly purchased for office lunches, birthday parties and weddings. The new Claim Jumper Thousand Oaks announced today that 100% of the money raised from the sale of their Chocolate Motherlode Cake, during the weekend of Thursday, October 27th - Sunday, October 30th, would be donated to the Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning.

"Our goal is to raise funds on behalf of the Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning and to introduce our Thousand Oaks guests to our most popular dessert, a slice of Chocolate Motherlode Cake," said Bob Skerrett, Claim Jumper General Manager. Brenda Hunter, Executive Director of the CVNfL added, "Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning is very excited to be partnering with Claim Jumper. We welcome the opportunity to work with them on this campaign."

Conejo Valley Neighborhood for Learning is a FIRST 5 program working to strengthen families and build school readiness. Focusing on literacy, health and nutrition and peaceful families, the CVNfL operates three quality, affordable preschools for 3-5 year olds and four family resource offices providing parenting education, nutrition and literacy programs, prenatal support, health referrals and I&R, as well as special events such as the "Celebrate the Family" Parenting Conference.
