The Claim Jumper Story

Founder, Craig Nickoloff, opened the original Claim Jumper Restaurant in Los Alamitos, California on September 27, 1977. Today, there are 42 locations throughout Arizona, California, Illinois, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Tennessee, and Washington.

Claim Jumper Restaurants are popular with a large audience including families, children, seniors and business professionals. Our friendly environment is ideal for celebrating special occasions, hosting a business lunch or gathering for a delicious meal with friends and family.

Open daily for lunch and dinner, Claim Jumper offers a selection of freshly prepared items using only the finest ingredients available. Favorites include Certified Angus Beef® and USDA Choice steaks, fresh fish, rotisserie chicken, baby back pork ribs, fresh baked pot pies, specialty salads, wood-fired pizzas, pasta, sandwiches, burgers and more. Claim Jumper's baked goods and desserts including our Six-Layer Chocolate Motherlode Cake, I Declair, Scratch Carrot Cake, Jumper’s Mud Pie and deliciously rich cream cheese pies are popular favorites with our guests.

Our saloons are a comfortable gathering place to relax after a day at work, to catch a game or share an appetizer with friends. The saloon menu features signature cocktails, chilled martinis, premium and ultra premium spirits, specialty non-alcoholic beverages, an extensive wine list, and imported and American craft beers including Claim Jumper's own Honey Blonde, Original Red Ale and Hefeweizen. When you step inside a Claim Jumper you will discover an environment that is warm and comfortable. The interiors of our restaurants feature huge Douglas Fir logs, natural rock, corrugated and pressed tin, natural and finished woods and large fireplaces. Slim Selections Rich fabrics, authentic log chairs, and ceiling fans are used to decorate our lobbies, dining rooms and saloons. Many of our locations feature exhibition cooking where guests watch as pizzas are prepared in an authentic wood-burning oven, and salads, soups and desserts are meticulously prepared. As a leader in the food service industry, Claim Jumper is not resting on its reputation.
